For budgets that don't allow a new instrument, a good custom head will often do 80% of the job for 20% of the cost. A custom head will also flesh out a professional flute in a way the original stock head never will. New in 2006! -- We have several all Argentium silver head joints that will add depth and projection to your current silver flute. Prices run about 25% higher than traditional sterling silver, but the actual cost of the metal is twice the price of sterling silver. This is a patented "premium quality metal" for flute making, which is available only from the Landell workshop on a limited basis. No two are alike, because they are each made entirely by the hand of Jon Sr. The response from many players has been very enthusiastic, and one man can't keep up with the demand. You may expect to wait for an Argentium silver head joint while we work through the current list of admirers. As usual, you can always choose from two heads before you buy.
