BYOF: Flute Making

The BYOF class is the culmination of all the training we have to offer. In less than six months, students take a pre-soldered body with tone holes through the entire stringing process to the point of padding. The typical student is either currently working in the flute industry or is considering starting a new shop. All BYOF students are required to take the three introductory courses (Padding, Overhaul, and Head Joint) before attempting this intensive class, and they must show good mechanical aptitude for the work. Of course, the flute becomes the personal property of the student.

This course comes with very detailed course notes which will prove invaluable for any flutemaker. The scheduling is flexible and, obviously, highly customized for each individual student. Please contact us with questions about this class.
