2007 - 2008 Course Dates

Below are the scheduled weeklong summer courses for 2007 and 2008. All courses are 5 days long, with the exception of the BYOF training, which takes 6 weeks. Only students who have completed the other three courses may apply for the Build Your Own Flute, which must be arranged and scheduled on an individual basis.

Due to high demand, we are scheduling five sets of courses. This may help with scheduling difficulties for those who couldn't attend one of the classes that they find most interesting. Class size will be limited to 3 or 4 people.

As usual, we must insist that these courses be taken in the order in which they are taught. The Padding course, often referred to as our "One-Week Seminar", is really the foundation of a much more thorough and comprehensive understanding of flute mechanics and issues, which are addressed on a more advanced level in the O&M course. For the student who has already taken both courses in a previous year, by appointment we will run our Advanced-level course, which is meant more as a one-on-one session both for students who wish to get into more detail regarding traditional padding techniques, as well as those who wish to learn techniques relating to modern advanced pad designs. The advanced level padding course is now called "Precision Padding". Write or call for dates.
